General Manager,
Chamtor Bazancourt (51)

Why have you chosen to support the RMS Foundation?
It is important that companies should play their social role and I believe that the economic world needs to get involved with actors in higher education. Supporting the RMS Foundation is a concrete illustration of this wish.
Which of the foundations? actions mean the most to you?
One of the missions of the Foundation is to award grants and we are particularly sensitive to this system, which enables students from modest social backgrounds to finance their education while promoting social diversity on campus.
What would you say to future donors ?
RMS and its foundation contribute to the extend the influence of our region thanks to an offer of high level education which rivals the most prestigious international institutions and on that score, we believe it is useful to give them our support.
The Sup de Co BDE (Student Union Board) STUP&FACTION commits itself to the RMS foundation!
The Sup de Co Reims BDE (student union board) is one of the most significant associations of the school. Its purpose is to organize the social life of students, but also to be their privileged interface with the administration and to support them throughout the year.
This year, the BDE committed itself to supporting the foundation by deciding to pay ?10 per each student contribution fee they collected. Thus thanks to the 300 contributors of the BDE, some ?3,000 were paid to the RMS foundation, one of whose aims is to award various grants to some of the students of the school.
This participation comes within the scope of the BDE?s missions whose first role is to be the BDE of ALL the students, the affluent as well as the poorest, since in addition to its academic excellence, its wide graduate network, Sup de Co Reims is above all a big family which welcomes new members every year.
Bearing this in mind, we members of the BDE bureau are intimately convinced that this integration, this family cannot exist without a minimum of solidarity and mutual aid within our school.
That is why we decided to participate actively in the financing of the RMS Foundation in order to give a chance to all the students who need it.
Because our mission is to be present for everybody, STUP&FACTION are happy to help the RMS Foundation !
Be there, be Stup&fact, be Sup De Co !

EDITORIAL |
The RMS foundation celebrated its third anniversary last June. Aware of its responsibilities towards all RMS students, it has since its creation enabled more than 150 of them to continue their studies thanks to an excellence grant. Asserting its will to uphold the human and social values fostered by the School, the Foundation has created a Chair in Social and Solidarity-based Economy. It has also encouraged research projects which contribute to the national and international reputation of the School.
All these projects were successfully completed thanks to you who have supported the Foundation. And we wish to deeply thank you for committing yourself to our common goal.
Today, the Foundation has re-enforced its commitment to existing projects and has taken a new dimension by developing new projects linked to social innovation. It is indeed important that the School should give itself the means to find answers to the new developments in its environment in a rationale that will benefit both its development and that of society.
Thus the RMS Foundation will continue to finance study grants and the Chair in Social and Solidarity-based Economy. It will also support the School?s ?Cordée de la réussite? (roped together for success) and Prepa?Remois and will support projects linked to diversity, by developing for example, the school?s policy in favor of disabled people.
You too, may participate in these projects by making a donation to the Foundation, thus enabling RMS to fully play its role as a Citizen school and a player at the heart of society.
To do so, do not hesitate to contact the RMS foundation or give a favorable answer to its requests.
We are deeply grateful for your support and wish you a very happy new year.

| Launch of the first MBA VIP Club Grant |
Within the framework of its MBA VIP GREEN DAY on Saturday 27th November, The Reims MBA together with its graduate and student network decided to create the first MBA VIP Club study grant. Thus the hundred or so people present at this event met around this common project which aims at financially helping an MBA student within the framework of his studies.
Each person had the opportunity to contribute to this study grant by making a donation to the RMS foundation.
For Raymond Ouellet, the MBA director, every year, there are ?very good participants who face difficulties financing their studies at RMS. This grant devoted only to MBA students will enable one high level participant to follow her or his training serenely?.
For the people who could not attend the event, it is still possible to contribute to this study grant with an online donation. |

| Testimony of a Reims Management School grant holder |
Interview of
Alexandre BARITEAUD
Sup de Co 2
beneficiary
of a foundation grant
What is your background ? I come from Savignac de Duras, a rural village in Lot?et-Garonne with hardly 300 inhabitants. My father is a farmer and my mother works as an administrative agent at the town hall. One might as well say that nothing really predestined me to join a graduate business school.
After three years studying at the State lycée of Marmande where I studied engineering sciences among other things, I finally made the somewhat difficult choice to join a preparation class to prepare competitive entrance examinations for graduate business schools.
If I found the training given in a business school very attractive, the cost of this training made me think twice before embarking in this direction which nevertheless seemed tailored to my aspirations.
What have been the benefits of the Foundation grant?
A state grant holder since secondary school, the grant awarded by the foundation came as a real relief.
This grant helped me to pay for part of my first year tuition fees as well as costs linked to studying far from home, transport, accommodation, equipment etc?).
The small jobs I did during the year and my summer jobs were crucial, but would not have been sufficient to cover these costs
.
What are your professional projects?
Thanks to the apprenticeship scheme, my tuition fees are now paid by the firm where I am currently an apprentice.
Hired as a junior auditor at KPMG Paris since October 2010, I alternate periods of training at school with longer sessions in the company.
The apprenticeship is both a solution to the financing of my studies and strong anchorage in the professional world. I hope to draw maximum experience from it so as to choose the best possible orientations for my career.
What is your message to potential donors of the Foundation?
A grant is also a way of saying to a motivated student: ?give yourself the intellectual means to succeed and we will provide you with the financial means?.
Pulling down the barriers which still prevent many gifted students from accessing the best higher education opportunities seems essential to me.
Students, parents, graduates, firms or individuals, we must all rejoice that RMS thanks to its foundation makes this accession possible.
Each person, in his own way, can participate in this surge of solidarity with a simple donation, and thus ensure the continued existence of the foundation?s action. |
